Get in TouchIML labels fuse exceptional durability with high-definition graphics-delivering a premium look that stays vibrant through every step, from manufacturing to everyday use.
In-Mould Labels (IML) are labels that are integrated directly into a plastic container during the injection moulding process. Instead of being applied after the container is manufactured, the label is placed inside the mould and permanently fuses with the container as it is formed. Because the label and container become a single structure, the final product achieves a seamless appearance with no visible edges, no adhesive layers, and no secondary decoration step. The result is a durable, visually refined packaging solution where the label performs as long as the container itself. IML is widely adopted in rigid plastic packaging applications where consistency, longevity, and premium presentation are essential.
The IML process begins before moulding. Before the container is formed, a robotic arm places a pre-printed film inside the empty mould. When hot plastic is injected, it wraps around the film, instantly welding the graphics into the outer wall as the plastic sets.
By combining printing and moulding into one quick step, every unit comes off the line with perfectly centered, scratch-resistant artwork. This eliminates extra factory steps like gluing or heat-stamping, allowing high-speed production lines to run continuously without stopping for secondary labeling.

In-mould labelling provides long-term value by pairing high-end visual appeal with exceptional durability. Because graphics are fused directly into the container during manufacturing, colors stay vibrant, details remain sharp, and the surface stays protected against heavy handling, moisture, and storage wear over time. Brands can easily tailor the look using matte, gloss, or textured finishes to create a standout shelf presence without worrying about the design scratching or fading.
Beyond aesthetics, this method streamlines large-scale manufacturing. Fusing the label and container in a single step eliminates extra packaging operations, ensuring consistent quality across massive production runs. By combining permanent graphic protection with a reliable, efficient process, in-mould labelling offers a dependable packaging solution built to support growing product lines over their entire lifecycle.
In-Mould Labels are chosen not just for how they look, but for how they perform over time.
Visually, IML delivers a clean, uninterrupted surface that enhances shelf presence and preserves brand intent across markets and batches. Colours remain stable, graphics stay sharp, and the overall finish retains its original character even after repeated handling or storage.
From an operational perspective, integrating the label into the moulding process helps maintain consistency at scale. As production volumes increase and product ranges expand, the label solution remains dependable without introducing additional complexity into the packaging line.
IML also supports long-term packaging strategies. For brands planning extended product lifecycles or large distribution footprints, the stability and permanence of in-mould labelling make it a reliable choice that aligns with both branding and manufacturing objectives.
Fused with the container for long-lasting performance
Sharp graphics that stay vibrant over time
Matte, gloss or textured looks that stand out
One-step process for consistent quality of scale
In-Mould Labels allow for high-quality graphic reproduction with precise control over colour, detail, and finish. Depending on material and print configuration, labels can be produced with gloss, matte, or textured surfaces to support different brand aesthetics.
Because the label is protected by the container wall, the visual integrity of the design is preserved throughout the product’s lifecycle. This makes IML particularly suitable for applications where appearance and durability must coexist without compromise.
